Cimarron Firearms 1860 Henry Rifle
The Model 1860 Henry Rifle was developed and patented by B. Tyler Henry, plant manager, and manufactured by Oliver Winchester. Made during and after the Civil War, as westward expansion escalated, this first truly effective lever action rifle was a dependable tool for a country on the move. The Henry Rifle was highly prized by the Plains Indian warriors as well, as much for its looks, as its function. This military model features a 24" barrel, military style lever latch, and ladder rear sight. It has the side mounted sling swivels found on the military contract rifles, and some cast-off for a right hand shooter which can be a problem for left hand shooters. Weight is a modest 8.9 pounds, unloaded.
